Action Platinum Series.In 2008, in an effort to celebrate and honor the legacy of Dale Earnhardt among his millions of fans and introduce the man known as “The Intimidator” to millions of new NASCAR fans, Motorsports Authentics launched a two year program pairing NASCAR’s most famous driver with other rugged enduring legends from the entertainment world. By featuring singers, songwriters, actors and other icons on the hood of Earnhardt’s famous No. 3 Goodwrench Chevrolet, NASCAR’s fans old and new supporters can remember and learn respectively what the “Man in Black” was all about. In addition to a personal connection, Dale also shares iconic characteristics with the legends that will be featured on the cars throughout this series.
This multi-year program was kicked off this year with a very special paint scheme featuring the original “Man in Black” – Johnny Cash. The second car in this multi-year program. “Dale and the Duke” will team Earnhardt up with American icon John Wayne.
Elvis PresleyThe third car in this series, "The King" and “The Intimidator”, will feature one of Earnhardt’s heroes, Elvis Presley on the hood of the famous No. 3 Chevy.
The Elvis program will feature Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s famous number 3 Chevy car with Elvis on the hood. Elvis was an American singer, musician, actor, and most importantly a cultural icon. He is one of the best‐selling and most influential artists in the history of popular music.
